I have entered Canada, and I have an refugee claim. Due Covid-19 I am put on hold for an interview. My visa is about to expire and I would like to know if I get an extension for the waiting time.

What sort of visa do you hold? TRV?

You can apply for an extension however there's a good chance of refusal given you have filed a refugee claim. Even if the extension is refused, you can remain in Canada while you wait out the processing of your refugee claim.

I have a travel visa, that is issued for 6 months. In this period I applied for an refugee inside Canada, under the reason of bad treatment under religious beliefs in my country. Now I am on hold because of covid-17, and my visa will expire on August 23. I hope that will open till then and get an interview, but I didn't know if a refugee claim extend visa till the process is over. Thank you.

1. A "Travel Visa" is a TRV, and as you have claimed refugee status in Canada, a new one will not be issued.

You won’t get an interview by August 23. Closer to August 2021 in reality, if you are lucky.

But will be extended ? Because I am being delayed for the interview due Covid-19.
I attached next to my passport the refugee application, that proves that I have made a refugee claim.
It is enough to extend my visa after my TRV expire ?
What will happen if they will not reopen their offices till my visa expire, I will need an extension for my visa. How can I do that ?

1. Neither will be extended, by claiming refugee status, you have indicated that you want to stay permanently in Canada, so you are no longer a genuine visitor.

Once you claimed refugee you don’t need a visa to be in Canada as long as your claim is not heard. You can apply for work permit and can start work can get free healthcare under IFHP. Your visa is automatically cancelled once you switch your status so stay relax and don’t worry.
