extend stay for visitor

I am an american citizen staying with my boyfriend while I am in Canada. I am applying online instead of with a lawyer, due to the costs. Since I am not working and living with him, depending on him financially, should I mention that in my reason for an extension? Will my likelihood of getting the extension depend on additional documents? I am applying a month before my visa expires. Would it help to include other documents? Thank you in advance!!

Others can comment but possibly using staying with boyfriend as a reason to extend as a visitor might be a red flag to show immigration you are living with BF even as a visitor even though that might not technically be the case currently. Anyone extending as visitor really needs to demonstrate some sort of plan for intentions even to do typical visitor things and as far as documents go any proof that you will leave the country helps mainly ties in your case back to the US.

What's the reason to extend?
