Hi Guys
In June 2015 i finished a 8 month full-time program in a Clown and Comedy school (is not a Designated learning institutions)
My part time study visa expires in April.
Basically I want to stay one more year and be able to work (on a open base) = have Social Insurance Number.

I am a Carpenter with trade school degree.
I have a employment offer from a Carpenter and employment offer of a Animation company.

Problem: Dont know what Visa is best / easiest / less expensive to apply for. Work Visa or Permanent residents, or work and holiday??
What did you do after your student visa expired??
Thanks Jan

Re: Clown student and Carpenter wish to extend QC stay

Based on the information you have provided, you don't qualify for an open work permit.

If you want to remain in Canada and work, you'll need a full time employment offer (which is sounds like you have). Your employer will also have to obtain an approved LMIA. Based on the job offer and approved LMIA, you will then be able to apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer and job.

Depending where you are from and how old you are, a working holiday visa program may be a way for you to remain in Canada and work. But it all depends on where you're from originally.

Obtaining permanent residence is an involved process. You will have to research Canada's immigration programs to determine if you qualify and learn how to apply.

In addition to Scylla's advice, if you are looking at becoming a PR & settling in Quebec, you'll need to look at the qc skilled worker programme:
