Express Entry with Expired Passport (Can’t Renew) – What Are My Options?

Hi everyone, I’m in the U.S. with a pending asylum case, and my home country passport has expired. It is not possible or safe for me to renew it through my country’s authorities. Can I still apply for Canada’s Express Entry program without a valid passport, and if accepted, would I be eligible to obtain Canadian permanent residence (LPR)?

Unless you have some very specific work history and education getting PR from outside Canada will not be possible these days. What is your NOC, do you have high English and/or French language scores, how old are you and what is your highest level of education? What express entry program are you targeting?

I calculated my score using CRS calculator, and got 498 points. NOC is 20010, English - expired Before I even start collecting documents I just want to confirm whether I’d even have a chance given that my home country passport is currently expired.
