Express Entry Status

Hello all,

Once logging into CIC online, I would like to know if it is normal for the "Express Entry" profile to say "Profile Expired", even though your "Permanent Residency" Application says "Submitted", and is "Open"?

[As a background, I ran into the situation where I Submitted my documents/payments 59 days after receiving ITA. A few days later, I got a letter saying that my EE Profile has expired and that I did not apply in time. I opened up a Case Specific Enquiry with CIC, and a few days later received an AOR, as well as a subsequent "Schedule A" requesting more information for my Permanent Residency Application.]

So far the last few months, my Express Entry Profile is "EXpired", but my Permanent Residency Application is Open. I can attach images if my explanation is not clear. Thanks for any feedback!!

For those that have received their AOR, is your "Express Entry" Profile Expired?

When I just log into the myCIC, there is a table at the bottom of the page, "View my submitted applications or profiles". The "details" section for my EE profile there says "ITA received". When I click on the "Check status and messages" button for my EE profile, the application status says "Open".

I wouldn't worry though, I think your application is being processed, they just didn't correct the initial status the system gave you, but did accept the application. Do you have the EE profile in the "submitted applications or profiles" table?

I have not faced this issue myself but I would not worry. It looks like a quirk (bug) in the system if your 60 days to submit application coincides with profile expiry. CIC has sent to AOR and the Schedule 4, it looks good.

@ Ellia: Thanks for your feedback. Once logging into CIC, in the table at the bottom of the page I do have a row for "Express Entry", and in the "Details" section for this row, it says "Profile Expired" (Where for you it says ITA received) . When I click on "Check Status and Messages" for this row, the application status says "Open", but everything else is blank. I am thinking the same thing that you mentioned, i.e. that they didn't correct the initial status the system gave me. As stated before, my Permanent Residency Application in the same table at the bottom of the Page says "Submitted" and, I have received an AOR, and my Medical already says passed. So hopefully this will not cause any delays. (Last update to my application, was in end of September with MEDS passed. (AOR of September 11 FYI).

@ Darklord: Thanks for your feedback. Hoping everything is okay, as I will be applying for a BOWP at the end of the month.
