Express Entry profile work exp -question Urgent!! please clarify

my skilled work exp in Canada started from Sept 2014 ( PGWP - DID my Masters In CaNada )

Sept 2014 - March 2015 in XX company
april 2015 - June 2015 in yy company
Sep 2015 - June 2016 in zzz company
June 2016 - Sept 2016 in AA company
Sept 2016 - Present in BBB company

all where 40 hrs per week

if you notice i Didn't work for the months july and august in 2015 .However , today my EE profile got Updated and i was credited 53 points(I'm single) for work exp ? just confused about this update because, if i count each month i didn't work for 24 months ?

please help/advise

I am not sure why, but the same thing happened to me today. The sum of the months is 22. But today it was updated and gave me 53 points as I have worked 24 months.. Strange

@jim : so , did you start to work from Sept 2014 ?

I started on September 2014 but I stopped for 2 months. So in my profile I have 2 entries..

- Sept 2014 / Feb 2016
- May 2016 / now

Guess it is blindly counting start month ( sept 2014) to the current date - strange :

The Express Entry system counts whole months. If you began work on the 30th of September, it will count all of September.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you receive ITA with the right score.
So if you've been given extra points because of the way the automatic system counts work experience, and you receive ITA when you only have 50 weeks of work experience (instead of 52), you need to decline the ITA and wait until you've received the ITA with a legitimate score.
Because if you don't, your application will just be rejected once the VO looks at your actual dates.

It's no one's mistake, it's not a system error; it's just how the system works.

You should be able to calculate how much work experience you have.
So you just need to make sure you've received the right number of points for your work experience. If you haven't, you need to hold off on applying.
