Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone,

I come from Finland and I have already made my plan to immigrate to Canada. To simplify things little bit further I have took Eligibilty quiz and I am eligible for Express Entry and have good chances for Federal Skilled Worker program. For this I would like to make sure that following steps are required, could anyone who have immigrated to Canada to verify that these indeed are required steps:

1. Assess University degree certificates by designed organizations
2. Make IELTS exam
3. Apply for Express Entry
4. Register for job bank
5. Get medically assessed
6. Get police criminal record
7. Wait for invitation from Canada immigration center

If there are other steps could you let me know? I have done IELTS test exam and according to my CLB level is 10. Of course this test exam is not always telling the truth.

I thank everybody beforehand.

You should receive ITA (step 7) before you get your medical exams (step 5) or Police check (step 6) done.

Thank you very much istari. I will keep that in mind.

Just a heads up, they need IELTS- General , and not the Academic Module.

Of course, if you have already aced the Academic one, the General Module would not be challenging :P

Thanks cococly. Yeah I don't think it will be a problem. I have spent many years in my lifetime with English literature and what I actually mean is that I have spent in last several years most of my time reading English articles, books, news, watching videos and writing in English and also speaking in English. This has boosted my English skills so much and I highly recommend to anyone who is trying to enhance their English skills. I have also been in Australia doing my internship which helped me enormously my speaking skills.

I have one more question to anyone regarding the job certificate. If I work at company here in Finland while application process is going, at what point I would be asked about my job experience and can I simply get job certificate of current job so that I can use it in my Express Entry profile?

You need to provide your reference letters when you submit your eAPR (once you receive ITA, you have 60 days to submit all your documents).

You can use your current job as work experience, but you will require a reference letter for it.

Thank you istari for clarification :)
