Hi all,

I am new here. Sorry if this question is asked before. I did a search and couldnt clear my doubts.

We are planning to try for an express entry to Canada. I tried contacting 3 agencies. Their responses are different. One say we cant apply. second agency says we can try for sinp. Last one says its possible to apply. That is why I thought of asking my questions here. I know you people know much better than them.

We are planning to apply with my husband as primary applicant. Husband is 41 years old with 15 years of experience as a Graphic designer. He completed bachelors degree. And i am 36 years old, did Masters. We both can write ielts.

Is it possible for us to apply for express entry?
How is the express entry first round 67 points calculated? Do spouse's language points (5 points) also added in that 67 points?
which is the actual 67 point calculation link with details about it?

Thanks
Roshni

To be eligible under FSW, one needs to have 67 points.
Both of you need to appear from IELTS and need to get ECA for educational credentials.
You can be the primary applicant as you're younger and assuming having a master in ECA, which can boost ur CRS score as compared to your hubby.

Thanks for that quick reply Milan Desai. I know that 67 points is required. But I was asking how to calculate it. Sorry if my question was confusing.
My work experience is not enough for to apply, thats why we decide to choose husband as primary applicant.

Age (41 years) - 6 points
language - 24 points(clb9)- just hoping for the best :-)
education - 21 points
work experience - 15 points

Can I add

adaptability - spouse language points - 5 points

also with this points to meet 67 point requirements.?

Spouse language can earn max 5 points.
CBL - 4 level or higher)
(LRWS - 4/4.5/3.5/4.0)

so total requirement for him would be to fetch = 62 points
