Hi

Does everyone get "Police certificates (multiple) (required)" ??
Emphasis on "multiple."

I have lived in only one country so I wondered why it says multiple

Is there anything to worry about or I should upload the single one that I have?

Thanks

Hi guys,

Multiple is for people who has lived in more than one country, if you haven't then there is no reason why would have more than one PCC..

I gave local police services my fingerprints on 9th April, according to them it can take anywhere from 3 business days to 120 business days. From what i heard from other people it generally take 1 week for PCC to come if there are no prior records.

wow... 120 business days sound scary.
I am not sure if it would be a wise choice to prepare for PCC in advance of ITA. My visa is expiring in one month, so I wanted to prepare documents that I need in case I get ITA in last minute, but some people say it's better to get it after ITA.
What do you think...?

It depends on how certain you are that you will get the ITA. I submitted my EE file on April 4th and i had 481 points, luckily there was a draw two days later with cut off # 470 so i got the ITA. If you think your CSR points are high enough to get invited in the next draw then you should start collecting your documents. Hope this helped.

Do I need to provide a police certificate for my time in Canada?

You do not need a police certificate for your time in Canada if you are applying for permanent residence from within Canada in one of the following categories:

live-in caregiver;
humanitarian and compassionate considerations;
temporary resident permit holder;
spouse or common-law partner; or
protected person or Convention refugee.
If you are applying under any other category or from outside of Canada, you may be requested to submit a Canadian police certificate for your time in Canada.
