Express Entry - Letter of reference - password protected pdf

Hi Everyone,

When I received ITA and got my reference letter for my employment from my firm, it had password protection On and I didn't realize until now that I somehow cannot remove it by any means. Can we submit a password protected pdf in e-APR ? Please note that I know the password to open the pdf document and I can provide the same in letter of explanation to them.

Will this work fine? Any suggestions anyone?

Is the print option enabled in that password protected file? If it's enabled, then Print -> Select the Printer as 'Microsoft Print to PDF' and you should get a new PDF without the password protection.

I had to do this for my bank statements.

No it is not print enabled as well.

I had to take snapshots of the individual pages of the reference letter and then paste them in the word document and then convert them into one single pdf. I hope that is okay, since there was no other option. I mean I have to merge all employment related pdfs into one pdf and then upload.

What do you guys think ??
