Hello, I came to Canada on a closed work permit with LMIA. While working for the same company for about a year, I changed my closed work permit to an open work permit as being the spouse of a student. Since work permit status changed while working for the same company, I've got a few questions:
1. In the EE profile in which category my job will fall - WP & LMIA or WP & LMIA not required? I got the open work permit approval after completing my 1 year in the existing job on a closed work permit with LMIA.
2. Do I need to inform my company of the change in the work permit status and any action they need to take from their end?
3. My closed work permit is valid until early 2021. After receiving my open work permit, is my closed work permit still valid?
