Express Entry Invitation to apply received from IRCC but provincial nomination program OINP asking me to reject it

I've been lucky enough to receive both

- Invitation to apply (ITA) from IRCC almost 2 weeks ago (Federal Skilled Workers)

- Nomination from Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) today

ONIP is putting me a difficult situation though by asking me to

Reject the ITA from IRCC

Recreate Express Entry profile for them to nominate

Has anyone been in this situation before? Did you go with the province's recommendation or the direct ITA? Did you succeed?
