Hello,

I am a newbie to this forum :)

I am planning to apply for Canada PR (Express Entry) and need your kind guidance.

My IELTS score is going to expire on 18th October 2016. If I start the process now (starting from today), would I complete submitting my PR application before my IELTS expire ?
or do I need to write IELTS again ??

Please let me know.

Thank you,
Rajesh

It depends on what CRS points score you have when you create your Express Entry profile.
If it is less than 450 CRS points, then you would definitely need to retake IELTS before Oct. 2016

To create and submit your Express Entry profile, you will need to have valid IELTS and ECA. You can submit your profile with the current IELTS scores and if you do not receive an ITA before the expiry of your IELTS you will need to ensure to have the new test scores before October 18, 2016 otherwise your profile will become ineligible and you will have to create a new profile.

Hello Rajesh,

CA PR processing takes long time and given that your IETLS will expire in October 2016 which is merely 4 months from now, I would definitely recommend giving IELTS again.

Hope that helps.

Wow we are on the same boat Rajesh. Same ielts expiry hehe. I applied for PNP hoping EE ITA will come sooner hehe

Hello All,

Thanks so much for your quick response.

Okay, I think it would be better to take the IELTS exam again.

I am under the assumption that the IELTS score should be valid till we submit the PR application and it doesn't matter if it expires after submitting the PR application to CIC.

Thanks,
Rajesh
