NOC code is independent of your job designations. It depends on the matching of job duties. If your job duties match up by 60 to 70% of the job duties of a particular NOC code, then that code becomes your intended NOC code for Canada.

I am applied with 0124, experience in Marketing/ Advertisement. Is there any job opening in Canada, who prefer Express entry people, becaus eof not getting job offer, still in the waiting list of Express Entry.

Hi guys,

I'm having a bit of a headache with this NOC codes. I have had a little more than 6 years of marketing experience. Starting off as Marketing Specialist for 2 years (NOC 1123) then got promoted to Marketing Assistant Manager within the same company. There's no NOC code for this title. However, in my company, Marketing Assistant Manager meant Marketing Manager (NOC 0124) because I had most of the main duties of NOC 0124. I was solely responsible for marketing for a line of product and reported directly to CEO. There's no position between mine and CEO. I held the Marketing Assistant Manager for 2 years. Then got a job as Marketing Manager at another company and worked there for 2 years. Since most of my job duties match those of NOC 0124, I chose it to be my main NOC. I'm not so sure if I chose the right NOC but I there's no better NOC than NOC 0124 for me.

Please advise?
