+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
Hi there,
I am also an FSW-O from India with AOR 17th DEC. I have been trying to reach CIC from past few days but the call doesn't go through. After reading your post I am now very eager to know about my application status. Did you call any of these numbers?- 1-888-242-2100 OR (613) 944-4000. If not, could you please assist me what number you called and how? As far as i know, they do not accept calls from outside Canada. Thanks in advance!
Hey, I called them yesterday from abroad, using Skype. The first 2 attempts the call didn't go through, but the 3rd it did. I waited about 15 mins on hold. But the agent said he did not have access to my file as it is held in the visa office and I have to contact them for any info.

Do you have Skype? If not, download it, then you have to buy credit using your credit card.
I bought the 3$ per month subscription for unlimited calls to Canada (I think it pays off, even if you call once). Use the phone option (the dial pad), choose Canada, that will automatically preset your country code to +1 and then put the rest of the numbers 6139444000.
Twice I got only silence, you have to keep trying. When the automated machine starts, choose your language, then press 1 for Immigration I think, just follow what they say, you will recognise it, at one point the machine will redirect your call to CIC, there I pressed 7 for Express entry, then 0 to speak to an agent.

Just a tip to complete the answer of Dr@gonfly: +16139444000 is the correct number but sometime it doesn't work in some countries (No idea why). I always tried +1 888 242 2100 and it always worked. After having selectionned several options, it transfered me to CIC (by saying "your call is being transfered to CIC, next time you can dial +16139444000 from outside Canada")

for all those anxiously waiting like me, here is some positive news.

I called CIC just now and after 20mins later, a nice gentlemen picked the phone. I told him I have been waiting for 6 months now and eagerly to know anything new about my application. He checked my file and said actually all the checks have been finished, and only wait for Ottawa to sent out PPR. However, he mentioned as this is the busiest time of the year for CIC, he is not sure when the PPR going to be sent out. So, finger cross and hope everything coming soon.

Received my GCMS Notes:

Eligibility: Not Started
Security:
HIRV:
Criminality: Passed
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed

Notes were generated on 06/15/2017- Primary Office: New Delhi, Secondary Office: CIO

My Application has crossed 6 months and eligibility is showing Not Started. Can anyone please help me understand what is happening?

I tried to call CIC at 1-888-242-2100 yesterday and it only told me CIC is busy and just hanged up my phone.
Is the correct number I called and how to reach the agents?

The line hanged up on me at first time as well. Try to dial again. I made it on the second times.

Ladies and Gents :) I got my PPR today
