Express Entry: Do I Need to Wait for My Partner's Security Check to Finish?

I received an invitation to apply in July and submitted the required materials shortly after. By October, I checked my tracker and saw that I had passed my biometrics, medical exam, eligibility, and background check. However, my partner, who is not accompanying me to Canada, is currently undergoing a security check.

Do I have to wait for IRCC to complete my partner's security check before I can receive my PR card?

Yes, file doesn’t move forward until partner’s check is completed. If he lives or has lived in China, Middle East and some African countries it will take time.
