Hi All, My spouse and I are planning to apply for the FSW, my spouse being the Main Applicant. We are Indian citizens currently residing in Europe. I require a few clarifications, could you pls help..

1. My husband does not have a Birth Certificate. Can we provide Birth certificate obtained from the local Indian Embassy + School Certificate+ Affidavit stating " non availability of Cert"
2. Proof of funds : Can I show Pof from my husband's EUR bank + my INR Bank along with an NOC from my end? does it matter if it is from different countries?
3. Are there documents that needed to be submitted as physical copies once we get ITA? if yes, which docs and to which address( will it be to the local Canadian Embassy or ??)
4. My husband is unable to provide referral letters for 1 of his past experience will an affidavit suffice?

Thanks in advance for your responses :)

1. Why do you want to provide a birth certificate for your husband? You normally only require a Passpsort copy?

2. Proof of funds is for the Primary applicant only. There is a CIC format for this that you need to get from your bank/s. Date your accounts were opened, 6month summary etc.

3. No hardcopies are required. All information needs to be electronically uploaded to CICs website. Bear in mind the 4mb upload limit.

4. Your husband might not need to provide reference letters if you are the primary applicant. Unless you are claiming points for your husbands works

Hope this helps..

Thanks so much for your quick response. Pac_man :):)

My husband is the primary applicant, so in case of unavailability of the referrals can we provide the affidavit?

And for the pof can he not show both our accounts balance? is that not allowed? or only his account balance will be considered.

I doubt that an affidavit will solve the purpose. Try to arrange the letter for work experience in the required format. If not, use the offer letter, pay slips, tax returns and notarized letter from ex colleague or manager for job responsibilities. If you use a combination of all these docs and write an LOE, these should do that job.

For POF, you both can show the required amount.

I am not sure with Affidavits to be honest....

Your better of trying to get reference letters for employment and then if the company does not give you a reference, you can explain it in your "letter of explanation" outlining that you tried to get reference but the company did not assist you. You can also attach emails/letters to your letter to substantiate your claim.

If your husband is Primary applicant you need to show proof of funds for him. See below links
