Express Entry- Background Check has not been started

Hello Everyone

I applied for CEC under Express entry In November 2015. I got AOR on same day of application submitted. Medical passed after 2 weeks. I have not got any update after that. It is going to be 5 months so far, my background check has not been started. I am little worried about it. Please help me if anybody else faced the same situation.
Secondly, My Post graduation open work permit is going to be expire in first week of July this year. What is the right time to apply for the extension?

You still have no news from CIC ?
I think you have to applied at least 30 days before the date of the expiration of your permit.

It's very common to hear other applicants in this forum with similar situations. From what I gather this isn't anything to worry about. A friend of mine didn't get her background check started until 5 months after AOR, her process took 5.5 months.

hi, i applied my For my PR on november 9th 2015, i am in a work permit. i applied through my agent who helped me to get here.
i submitted my schedule A form on december 15th. after that no updates from cic. i called several times & they said it is in back ground checkB,
i am really nervous my open work permit is gonna expire on june 21st. if i dont get my PR till June 15 i am planning to extend my open work permit again.

my question is how long it will take for back ground check? its been more than 6 months and two weeks now.......?
should i have to worry about any thing ?
please help me out guys ............
