then you should decline the ITA. 496 is a very high score. The last cut off was 440. You should be very safe. The chances are that if they reject your application at a later stage saying that you didn't qualify at the time of ITA then you will have to do everything all over again and will have wasted a lot more time. Better to wait a few weeks now than to take the chance of getting 6 months down the line.

But my PGWP will expire in less than three weeks after the date that I meet the one year of canadian experience, what if I reject ITA and the next invitation round does not happen before my PGWP expires? then I may lose my current job as I could not provide a proof of valid worker status.

hmmm, that is a tough question. What if you get rejected later in this application for getting your timing wrong?

That is why I am worried but I keep hearing that many applicants with similar situation got their PR approved but I do not know any in person.
