Hello,
I am currently residing in UK from last 10
Years.I have completed my Bachelor and Master degree, also I have management experience from more than 6 years.Unfortunately I don’t have legal status in UK right now because my asylum application is pending and hasn’t been granted yet meanwhile I am planning to apply for express entry from UK.I have concerns regarding about my status in UK right now.
Am I eligible to apply from UK? Will Canadian immigration ask about my UK residency or home country passport will work. Thanks for consideration.

The answer is normally yes - you can apply provided you are honest about your immigration history and status. However the situation when someone is out of status in the UK appears to be more complex since the fact you are out of status typically appears on the UK police report (which you are required to submit as part of the process). I would try to search for discussions on this forum specifically about being out of status in the UK and the police report. My guess is that people have still been accepted, but I don't remember the details.

And yes, you will certainly need to provide details about your UK residency as part of the Canadian immigration process and wil need to state that you are out of status in the UK.

Really appreciate for your valuable information.
Actually I was on study visa for 6 years and still I have all the valid bank cards as well as UK provisional license card but only concern is UK visa to proof my valid residency.
I have clean record, I don’t have any criminal history.
To attain the UK police clearness certificate,I only need to provide them my valid passport and address history which I can easily provide.
