Hi guys,
I have a question about EE and CEC application. It's still not clear to me whether I will have to physically ship the documents to CIC at some point or if the process is entirely managed electronically. The reason I'm asking this, is that I can notice a gap betweem the document checklist provided here (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.pdf9 and the online checklist. Could you please clarify? Thanks a lot.

Online.

So should I just ignore this checklist http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.pdf and follow what they say in the online form?

Of course you should use the online form!

The PDF form you're linking to is from pre-EE days. Look at the footer - last updated in 2014. Disregard this document completely.

Hard copies are never required in the standard process. You upload everything to the CIC website.

That said, you must of course be in possession of the hard copies. CIC can request individual hard copies if they suspect your documents are not authentic. This happens very rarely though.

I understand. Thanks a lot for your answer. Should I strictly adhere to what they ask me in the online application? One of the differences I noticed compared to pre-EE checklist is that they don't mention anymore the T4 copy in the employment records section, nor the copy of the work permit for what concerns canadian work experience (I'm applying under CEC). Can you advice? Thanks

I'm not familiar with CEC applications because I'm an FSW candidate.

But yes, the online checklist should have everything you need because it is generated based on your answers in the preceding questionnaire. Just make sure you always click on the little information button next to each field to understand exactly what is required.
