Hey team!

I am wanting to go through the express entry route this year. I am waiting to get my 1 year experience before applying. I have had a look through this forum and its left me feeling slightly confused with the work experience side. I understand that it has to be 1 year experience AND 1560 hours. Last year I had to go home for 5 weeks due to a death in the family. So will i be realistically working 1 year and 5 weeks to make up for the time i was at home for?

Thank you!

Chloe

Assuming the five weeks was unpaid - yes, that's what you'll need to do.

Perfect thank you. I know it probably sounds stupid but I want to make sure I fully understand. So even if i have the right amount of hours (i don't yet) but I need to show that I have had paid work for minimum 52 weeks right?
