First time we entered to Canada was on March 2nd, 2014 and we stayed over 2 weeks and left. Since then I haven't returned to Canada. My PR card expires on May 20, 2019. Here are my questions:
- What is the due date I breach the PR Residency Obligation? Is that the day we entered to Canada March 3rd 2016, or the PR expiry date (May 21, 2016)?
- My daughter is still in Canada, she's over 25. I'm the principal and she is the beneficiary. If I breach my PR Residency Obligation would it affect my daughter's status? Her PR Residency Obligation is good.

Assuming you left Canada March 16 (Mar 2 + 2 weeks) 2014, you'll be in violation of the RO the day after March 16, 2017. So basically once you have been gone more than 3 years, you can no longer meet the 2 in 5 years RO requirements. Once you try to return to Canada after this date you could be reported for not meeting RO and start process to revoke your PR status.

The expiry date of your PR card is irrelevant to meeting the RO. You can still be reported by CBSA and have PR status revoked, even if you have a valid PR card.

As mentioned, it will have no impact on your daughter as long as she meets the RO. You are treated separately.
