Expiring Indian passport

Hello guys,
My indian passport is about to expire by the end of March. I just applied for citizenship. I was thinking not to renew my indian passport and just wait for canadian citizenship. Is there any problem by doing this way? TIA

This process could take a year or more . In between some emergency comes across how will you leave for India.
Think over and take your own decision.

Better to renew your Indian passport. The process can take 6 to 7 months if you are single and depends on province.
Or even more then 12 months.
Better to be in safe.
