Hello everyone!

I am an international student with a visa that expires in september 2018. I started a new job not too long ago and have had my last two paychecks withheld. I talked to HR and they said that the pay deduction on my visa, which pulls its information from my social security and includes the provincial and federal tax, includes a "visa expired" deduction which has taken the totality of my paycheck. Therefore, i have been getting paid $0 for the past two weeks. Does anyone know anything about this or who I should

1. Sounds like your employer is scamming you. There is no such thing as a visa expired deduction. Contact the Employer Standards Branch in the Province where you are working
