Hi guys. I'm making some enquirers for a couple of work buddies of mine and I was hoping I could get some help here.
The first guy, Danijel, has been here for just over two years. His original work permit expired last month, but he got an 12 month extension. He originally applied for provincial nomination, but is considering express entry. I'm pretty sure that as the original work permit expired the LMO that he came here on originally would no longer be valid, is this the case? Can he try express entry or is his only choice PNP?
The other guy, Silvijo, has been here for about 2 1/2 years. He got his application for express entry in just before his work permit expired and also has an extension. The problem he's having is his application was refused. When uploading his police report from his native country, he sent the translated version, didn't send the original copy and he got refused. This seems somewhat harsh in my opinion, is there any way he can appeal? If not, can he re-apply using his original LMO even though it expired because he already used it for an express entry application? Or is his only route also PNP?
