Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
i am have received my pr already and i have booked my ticket to visit my home country for 4 months that is more than 90 days.

my question is do they (cic) cancel permanent residence if a person stay out of canada for more than 90 days.

please help me in finding the answer

thanks in advance

No

Minimum residency obligations

You must meet the residency obligation to get a PR Card.

If you have been a permanent resident for five (5) years or more

you must have been physically present in Canada for a minimum of 730 days within the past five (5) years.
If you have been a permanent resident for less than five (5) years

you must show that you will be able to meet the minimum of 730 days of physical presence in Canada within five (5) years of the date you became a permanent resident.

So essentially, if you have only had PR for a year and been in Canada for a year, you take out the next 90 days to visit home, then just make sure that you are in Canada for another 365 days in the next 4 years.

Easy :D

so they look at number days out of canada in 5 years, not yearly basis , is that correct.
thanks

No Problem.

Let's break this down.
You have to be in Canada for 2 years out of 5.
So from October 2016 to October 2021 you have to be in the country for 730 days out of 1825.

Providing the 90 days doesn't turn into 730, you'll be fine.
