Hello everybody,
I will greatly appreciate advise on my situation.
I have a minor child, whose father will not be travelling to Canada. We divorced 8 years ago and since then she is living with me. In my application for permanent residence in Canada, I stated that the child will join me.
Checklist 5612E, page 6 mentions that a Statutory Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent for Minors immigrating to Canada & (IMM5604) is required. i didn't send the Declaration at time of submitting my documents, planning to add it later on. I enclosed the child's birth certificate, photos, passport copy and a our native country's court decision (translated into English) mentioning that the custody is given to the mother. The visa fee for the child is paid too.
The father consistently refuses to sign this declaration
Please advise what shall I do to avoid rejection of the whole application due to incomplete documentation . The application includes my husband and son as well. I'm the main applicant.
I received an email from CIO, requesting to inform my VO for changes in my personal status.
- Shall I contact the VO now and submit new documents, stating that my daughter will not accompany me to Canada. I also changed my employment status
- Shall I wait until I receive PER and update the VO for the changes in my status (exclusion of joining child, change of workplace)
- Shall I wait until VO requests the said Declaration and then revise my application to exclude my daughter (visa fee was paid for her)
My background: I'm a FSW 2014 applicant, NOC 1111. DD charged on 10 December.
I received an email from " Client-update-mise-a-jour @ cic.gc.ca :" on 12 December. The message contains my application number and UCI number, and confirms that CIO received my application on 27 August 2014. I haven't received PER .
My ECAS status shows only first line - In Process: Your application was received on....
Please please help experts!
I wish good luck to everyone !
