Hello all,

I am applying for OINP and stuck with current employer Experience / reference letter.

I cannot tell my current employer about immigration to Canada and so I asked them I need a letter for visa purposes for Canada.

Due to our standard company policies, they will issue the letter only in the format below:

Dear Sir,

Subject: My name

This is to certify that the above-name is employed with xxx and details of the employee are as follows:
Joining Date :
Job Title :
Department :
Passport No. :
Country of Origin :
Gross Salary : AED
Amount in words: AED

Employee will be travelling to Canada. We would appreciate your assistance in issuing him the required visa for his visit.

This certificate is issued upon the request of the employee without any liability on the part of company name.

Sincerely yours,

I am afraid that the above letter will not be acceptable as duties and responsibilities and the time period is missing. May be you can refer to this link for more details about Reference Letter http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/nail-the-challenge-of-getting-reference-letter-from-current-employer-t397796.0.html;msg4972214#msg4972214

Information in this letter is easily available in your offer letter, employment letter, salary slips, promotion letters, hike letters etc.

You'd need to get a roles and responsibilities letter from your HR on company letter head.

If they don't agree to provide that, atleast try to get a refusal letter.

Then get roles and responsibilities letter from your supervisor from his/her official mail and attach it along with his/her business card and attach it along with above mentioned docs.
