Hi
One of my friends is working full time 40 hours at one place and part time 20 hours at another
Looking to file CEC
Should we mention the experience from both places or is it illegal to work more than 40 hours on open work permit
Thanks in advance

It's not illegal. You can mention both.

But on the work permit it says maximum 40 hours

My open work permit does not say anything about 40 hours, but I guess if that's what
the work permit says then you're restricted to 40 hours. ??? ???

That's what I m assuming

You are confined to the terms stipulated on your permit. If your your friend knew this and breached it they hwbe beem pretty silly.

You cannot mask the employment as cic require you to provide t4s and noa. It will be obviois from the noa that she had another job. If they question it and s/he hid it, she will likely be banned from canada if found to be misrepresenting / hiding material facts.

Her best bet is to apply honestly and hope for the best.

One requirment of cec is that you maintain status and dont breach terms, I.e. work illegally. This could be a problem for your friend

Do you know if speeding ticket is considered a criminal offense and does it affect police clearance

Speeding ticket alone should not be a problem. Had the same thing.

What about stunt driving ticket ::)

I got a speeding ticket once when I took my space shuttle on a spin to mars. They pulled me over a few light years
after passing saturn, did not expect the space cops way out there.

Dude, are you serious?!

Yeah like seriously
A stunt driving ticket
I am assuming it shows as an offense on records for police clearance but m
Not sure

Haven't heard of such thing here in BC, that's why I ask. For what I've found online its a provincial offense,
but not a criminal offense.

Ok. Lets not blow this out of proportion.

If it was just a ticket, you are fine.

If you were charged and had to give fingerprints etc / disqualified from driving, then it's more serious.

Sounds like a more serious case to me, but still only a traffic ticket...

The penalties if charged with a Stunt Driving / Racing ticket are:

  • Immediate seven day licence suspension of the driver of the vehicle.
  • Immediate seven day vehicle impoundment of the vehicle being driven at the time of the incident.
  • Fine amounts ranging from $2,000 - $10,000
  • Possible driver's licence suspension of up to two years
  • Six demerit points registered on your record
  • A second conviction could have more harsh penalties with licence suspensions of up to 10 years and possible jail time.

If its only a ticket it isn't a federal offence? So it's not something that would cause an issue with the rcmp check
