I have 2.5 years of work in NOC 4031 (secondary school teacher) and 7 months of experience in NOC 4012 (post-secondary teaching and research assistant). Can I combine the two to claim 3+ years of work experience? The NOC website lists these jobs under the same '40' major group. Are they sufficiently similar for me to claim experience from both, even though my primary NOC will be 4031 in which I have 2.5 years of continuous full-time experience in.
Thank you for reading.

As long as they are both skilled, total time is combined. Note that if your RA/TA experience is part-time it will have to be pro-rated...

Thank you so much and yes I accounted for that. They are equivalent to 7 months after adjusting to full time work.
