Experience getting back into Canada after overstay?

I overstayed for almost one year, unintentionally but I was stupid..

I'm curious if anyone has experiences of getting back into Canada after overstaying, I won't be trying to return for at least being outside of Canada for a year and also will have work/school letters to prove I'll return home..

Hey how was the process? My sister overstayed unintentionally as well for a year because of fraudulent consultants who were lying to her. Did you have any issues? what was needed to apply again?
