Expedite Processing Time

Hi People,

I submitted my application for the PR on October 17th ,2018 and as per the current status, they are still checking my eligibility criteria. I got a job offer from canada but because of the delay in processing the PR, it is creating a problem for me.

Is there any way to expedite this process so that i do not end up loosing my job in canada ? What is the application status for other folks who submitted their application around the same time as I did i.e COtober 17th , 2018 ?

No - there isn't any way of expediting.

You haven't said how you applied for PR. If you applied through Express Entry - then you'll want to read through that section of the forum to see current processing times.

This is more of a negotiation between you and the employer rather than with IRCC. Not sure what you told them about the timeline to get PR, but the official processing time is 6 months. It hasn’t been 6 months on your application yet.

There's no specific link to check processing times. You'll have to read through the various discussions in the Express Entry section to see what people have posted regarding processing times.

What is your end result? Did you end up getting an extension on your job offer or did you somehow expedite the process?
