Expedite Philippine Driver's License Card for Canada immigration?

Hi to all Filipinos! I just renewed my driver's license this week and as expected, I got a receipt as they don't have cards yet. I plan to leave for Canada soon and I read that Canada won't honor the receipt I have. Is it possible to write a request letter to LTO main to have my card expedited? I'll attach a copy of my visa and plane ticket as proof of immediate need. Has anyone ever done this?

I just had my card printed the other day. If you are a Overseas Filipino Worker then you are qualified to get your card printed.

BTW, can we use our Philippines drivers license in canada when we land? Can we convert it?

Me too! Im not an OFW but I just presented my immigrant visa and plane ticket to the LTO and they printed my card right then and there We can use our PH license for 3 months in Canada. If you want to have it converted, I suggest you get an LTO certification with DFA red ribbon and Certificate of No Apprehension, etc from LTO Main. That way, you can skip the beginners/novice level and be eligible for testing for the level equivalent to PH Non Pro. It also highly encouraged to get a certificate from your insurance company that states that you have a good driving history. It is said that that document can lower your car insurance premium.
