My husband and I met in 2007, but didn't start dating until 2011. Do I need to show evidence of our friendship for the years prior to us dating?
I ask because we got married only 7 months after we started dating.

Given that you've already been married for several years and he's American, I wouldn't bother including any evidence of the friendship. Just mention it in your relationship history.

I did evidence for my US green card, and then evidence to remove the condition on my US green card, and am now dong evidence for his Canadian immigration. I am slowly going crazy...... ;D
Been married for almost 3 years. I wish that meant we could skip the proof of how we kept in touch and travelling and relationship.

Don't stress too much on the evidence side of things. You guys have a very low threshold of proof.

+1 - threshold of proof is pretty low for you two. When you write the relationship history, just write in there maybe just a few lines about your period of friendship... "John and I first met in 2007 at a friend's barbecue, and hit it off, but our relationship never progressed beyond friendship, until 2011 when we started hanging out together more just the two of us. After a few weeks, we became an official couple, and after only 4 months together, John took me out for dinner and proposed. We were married three months later. While our period of dating may have been short, we have been friends for so long that it feels like we'd been a couple for significantly longer than just 7 months. This year we are celebrating our fourth wedding anniversary, and we could not be happier."

or you know, whatever. :) Somethign like that but a bit more expanded would be absolutely fine. :)
 
Or just add one picture. It couldn't hurt right? I would probably do it!
