Evidence for proof of funds

I got accepted into a university in Canada. But I am confused what I have to show as proof of funds. My father will be sponsoring me. Should I show his bank statements and IT tax returns? Also should he write a letter stating that he will be sponsoring me? I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this.

Not sure about the statements parts. But a sponsorship letter or accommodation offering letter would show to the visa officer your parent is responsible for tuition/etc, those can be typed out and hand signed
