Please, I have a question: I am a Syrian citizen from Damascus. I live in Damascus with my husband and my daughter, 17 years old.
My daughter, an engineer and her husband, an administrator, have taken refuge in Canada and are now in Toronto, looking for work.
I work in translation and writing, and a member of the Arab Writers Union. My husband is an administrative manager of a company in Damascus.
My question: Can my daughter make a reunion for me, my husband and my 17-year-old daughter ؟
Sincerely

Your daughter would have to sponsor you for permanent residency once she is a permanent resident in Canada herself and has made enough income for three years in a row to qualify as your sponsor. The parent sponsorship process is a lottery - meaning that those interested in sponsoring their parents have to enter the lottery and hope they are selected. If your daughter has just arrived and is still looking for work, it will be at least four years before she is able to sponsor you for permanent residency.

If your daughter has claimed refugee status in Canada, then in general she will not be allowed to travel back to Syria. So if you are unable to get a visitor visa to come to Canada, then you all will need to arrange to meet in a 3rd country for any reunion.

Thank you very much!!
It seems like it will be a long time before I see my daughter. Can I find another way faster? I heard about Canada's rapid migration to competencies, could they accept me in this sector of immigration? Please if anyone knew, I hope tell me.

You would need to research Canada's immigration programs to determine if you meet the requirements to apply and what your chances are of being selected. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

I would focus on the Express Entry program and the Provincial Nomination Programs.
