eTA application from London

Hi All
I have applied for eTA on Thursday 07/07/16 online and waiting for tourist visa . Received first two emails for the submission and confirmation of application but later received third email regarding update of status next day. When I checked on the website then there was no change in status or any new message.
I am just wondering has anybody else experience that? HOW LONG IT ROUGHLY TAKE FOR eTA FROM LONDON WHEN ALL REQUESTED DOCUMENTS ARE GIVEN? IS IT WORTH VISITING HIGH COMMISSION OF CANADA IN LONDON? DO YOU GUYS THINK THAT THE ADMIN TEAM IS NOT VERY GOOD IN TERMS OF UPDATING STATUSES ONLINE?

So this is confusing you have applied for a tourist visa and an ETA, yet the ETA is for visa exempt passport holders only.

An ETA is generally generated within hours or latest 72 hours at which point the applicant would be asked for more information. If going to the next information stage no telling how long could be days could be weeks depending on what additional information was requested. ETA not required anyway for travel before Sept 29th.

I think you may find that ETAs are not processed by London so no point in contacting the High Commission

I am Indian passport holder with indefinite stay in UK and applied for eTA on 7/7/16. so you think I will get an answer within 72 hours or an appropriate reply if they need any more documents. Are you sure that London- Canada VSF cant help me get it quicker if there is more delay?
