I have applied for PR using Permanent Residence Portal (https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca), under the category "Atlantic Immigration Program"(AIP) on July 2024. I have throughly verified that I have selected the right category and also it redirected me to upload documents related to AIP (example: IMM 5501, IMM 0157, IMM 0155)
- On October 2024 I have received an AOR with an application number in the format "EP00590001".
- I have linked my application to my IRCC GC key account and checking status in the portal.
- Recently on August 2025 I have received an ADR requesting Employment reference letter and Schedule A for which I have provided the documents on time (under a week).
- couple of weeks after providing the above documents I received a request to provide "Provincial Nominee Certificate and offer letter from the employer". Actually, we don't need a Provincial Nominee Certificate for AIP, we only provide "Confirmation of Provincial Endorsement" which I already did. That's when the confusion started and I reached out to my immigration lawyer and found out that the application number format "EP00590001" belongs to Provincial Nominee Program.
Since I have followed every process correctly while applying, i believe there has been an error from IRCC where they wrongly tagged my application with PNP and provided the application number in the Format - EP00590001.
It took me around 13 months to receive my ADR, now I'm confused/concerned on how to proceed further. I don't want my application to be refused without my mistake.
Did anyone faced similar issue with IRCC? Appreciate the suggestions and guidance on this matter
