Entry to Canada without Study permit on paper

I sent my study permit away for an amendment that indicates i can work and I am to leave Canada for christmas break.
So, i will not have my permit with me coming back to Canada as they did not mail it back to me. It's been 2 months since i sent my documents away so I am a bit stuck about what to do. Is it possible to re-enter without my permit in hand?

As long as you have a valid TRV on your arrival, You're good to go. Just make sure you have your study permit UCI/ Xerox with you so that you could prove to border services that you're a student. If you don't have those, Take a certificate of enrollment from the university and show it to the officer on your way back.
