Hi
I have a valid visitor and work visa based on spouse work permit. I have only work visa and not work permit. Work permit required to be obtained while entering. Also I don't have any job offer in Canada. Am an Indian National and presently residing in Indonesia. My family is residing in Canada and my spouse is a temporary resident. At present my spouse is having some health issues. Hence I would like to travel to Canada and to be with her for few months depending upon her health condition. I have got a written authorization from IRCC to travel to Canada. However it is mentioned that my travel should not be for a discretionary purpose. Am worried whether I will have any problem during entry as my travel should not be treated as discretionary purpose.

Can you please guide me how my travel will be treated under the present situation? Do I need to travel based on my visitor visa or my work visa? Presently Am working in Indonesia.

Thank you

If you have a visitor visa and travel authorization (and it is valid), then you should be okay to travel. No one can tell you right now that you will be guaranteed entry.
