Enterning Canada with Expired PR Card.

Hi,

I have a PR card which is expired 2 months back I am in US since last 7 months and I have a US green card. I want to enter canada as I have got some personal issues to take care. My question is will there be any issue if I enter canada with an expired PR card I have my own condo in canada ?
Will there be any issues at the border and what is the best way to enter canada without any issues.

Do you intend to enter with your GC as a 'tourist' or will you seek admission as a PR in which case you will need to show your landing documents. The only issue really is if the border agent as they correctly should admits you as a PR (including where they don't fall for any GC ruse) but in doing so reports you for breaching the Residence Obligation.

I would enter as a PR using the landing document. Are you planning to maintain your PR?

Yes I am planning to maintain the PR and its been only 7 months or so that i am away from canada and I have my own property in canada. What would be the best way to enter canada by car or by bus ? which is the easiest way to cross the border ? And can i rent a US rental car and cross the border will that be an issue ?

you will have drive in a private vehicle.
probably renting a US vehicle will raise questions on the CBSA part asking you where you live etc. They can also check if you still have a health card so they can report you that you are no longer a resident. As long as you meet PR obligation you should be fine.

I don't have my own vehicle is it fine if I cross the border in my friends car who stays in canada he has got a car with canadian license plate ? I still have my health card as well as my canada drivers license.

It should be fine. Just make sure you have your expired PR card and the landing document.
