Hello all,

I am sitting at 452 points and the points will increase to 460 if I get ECA report for my wife's education. However, I already applied ECA through WES. I am not sure when they will send the report. i am expecting it at the end of this month. My question is what if I enter some random ECA number to receive ITA from yesterday draw (CRS 459) and correct the certificate number while submitting the documents. I believe, it will not affect my PR process. IS it OKEY? Expert please give me your suggestions....

If this is an option, I would do the same. Glad you asked. The only thing stopping me from entering the pool is WES.

You want to use fake information to get an ITA? I wouldn't advise it. CIC can cross reference the date of the ECA with the date you got ITA. That could be problematic and grounds for misrepresentation.

Even though I understand your desperation to get ITA and have peace of mind, that's such a stupid thing to do.

Date of when you got ITA and Date of your ECA was issued will always be compared during the time of your application process, and doing such thing will put straight into misrepresentation.

Besides once your get ITA your EE profile is locked and no changes are allowed and even if you put correct ECA reference number post-ITA, VO will compare e-APR and EE profile information. check this link and read "Assessing for misrepresentation" http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/refuse.asp

So wait a little longer may be 2 weeks because at this rate there is high chance of next cut off going down to 452.
Otherwise misrepresentation will put you out of Canada for 5 years.

Thanks for your advice.

I have one more question. My wife applied new passport to include my name in her passport to get PCC. She will receive it soon. However, I created my EE profile with her old passport number. Is it OK to change passport number after ITA if she does not get it before ITA?

Yes that's doable but you need to provide Reason.

Provide the scan copy of new passport and add explanation in LOE providing the reason why old passport is no longer valid.

I am in similar situation, and I just learnt yesterday that my spouse document sent by the university did not contain transcripts. I got this status update from WES after waiting nearly for 20+ days from document delivery. I checked with the university on this, and they say that transcripts for my spouse needs to be acquired directly from her college as spouse studied in an autonomous govt. institution although degree was awarded by the university. I really don't have anyone that go to the college and get the transcripts. I am also worried that WES may not understand this issue and might want transcripts directly from university.

I feel I am totally out of luck for those damned 8 points.

My spouse IELTS is done, and waiting for results, and with all 6 scores, I am expecting my score to 453. this 8 points would have made a lot of difference, but prospects look so bleak.

I don't know which university your wife has studied in but if it's in India then the university will attest marksheets which is accepted by WES. Transcripts are issued by the college which WES does not accept.

I believe the only way you'd ever get away with messing with IELTS and ECA between it's and eAOR is if the certificate number was 1 digit out and you said in the LOE -" after double checking I noticed the certificate was typed in wrong by one digit - please, please forgive me"

Lol. Don't encourage it. :P

Seriously though, I wouldn't risk it. They could easily reject you for the incorrect info.
