Entering Canada without landing (help is really appreciated)

Is it possible to enter Canada if a person has landing visa, but choose not to use till observing/visiting the country for a short period? I don't need visa for Canada.

1. Yes, just tell the CBSA officer that you intend to visit at this time, and will "land" at a future date.

No, why should it? Your green card is issued by the USA, not Canada.
