Entering Canada with pre-PR status visa

Hello All,

I was on a work permit visa which is valid till June 2020.

On Sept 2018, I had done my landing as a Permanent Residence.
Unfortunately, I have not received by PR card yet. CIC has sent it twice already when I contacted them.

On Dec 2018, I traveled outside. Now I have to return on January 2019 end.

Question : With out PR card, Can I come to Canada with the previous valid visa ? I have the visa till June 2020 along with my work permit.

You should assume that both your TRV and work permit have been canceled in the system now that you are a PR - which means you cannot use them to travel. If you don't have your PR card yet, then you either need to obtain a PRTD to fly home to Canada or fly to the US and re-enter Canada through a land border.

What do we show when we enter via road? Just passport ?

Passport and COPR. You also have to enter Canada in a private vehicle (so you can't take the bus, for example).

You can walk to cross the border too.
