Hi,
I have landed myself in a very unique situation for which I would appreciate an answer if someone has gone through the same. I became a permanent resident of Canada in June 2024 and got my COPR. I got my PR card delivered in August 2024. Cut to October 2024, I was carrying my PR card in my wallet since I travelled outside Canada in September end and forgot to take it out and keep it with my Indian passport. Now I have lost my wallet and lost my PR along with it. I have already applied for a replacement PR card and submitted the application as well. I have an urgent travel to US which was already planned.

My question is will I be able to enter Canada through US land border if I have my COPR, passport and other supporting documents with me like the application of replacement PR card?

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me with this query.

You can re-enter based on your COPR.

You can re-enter based on your COPR.

Is my COPR still valid as I see the application number on it is from the previous original application? I am sure the UCI on my COPR is not going to change even when I have applied for replacement. Only question that’s bugging me is the validity of COPR and if they would allow me enter back.

No, it's not valid. It was only valid once for landing. It doesn't matter that it's not valid. You can still use it to enter. You don't need a replacement.
