Suppose that a US citizen has their Canadian oath, and then leaves Canada before getting the certificate and Canadian passport. Would it be possible to re-enter Canada at a land border with just the US passport? I'm pretty sure the answer is "yes" based on what they say on their website about being able to FLY to Canada on a US passport, but I wonder if anyone has direct experience doing this. What was the process like?
(Background: reading about people's experiences with the Ottawa office and the certificate/passport timelines it's likely that I won't be able to stay in Canada the whole 3-4 months in a row no matter what time of year the oath is scheduled for).
