Entering Canada on TRV from another country than TRV approved from

Hello everyone, I recently applied and got approved for a TRV from USA. I am originally from Pakistan, and currently studying in USA. Someone told me that I wont be able to enter Canada on this TRV from Pakistan. This TRV can only be used to enter Canada through USA. In short, I cant use this TRV to enter Canada from Pakistan directly, and not going through USA.

I am wondering if there is any truth to this claim? Has anyone heard any such thing before? Any info in this regard would be very helpful.
