I have an AOR as of Feb 4, 2024 for my express entry profile under FSW-Outland category.
I had also submitted an application for the H1B open work permit that had opened up in July 2023, and it got approved in Jan 2024 for which I have the visa sticker and letter of introduction.
I have an Indian passport and I currently reside in the United States on a valid H1B visa.
My question is if I enter Canada before receiving my COPR(let us say for a week) on the Open Work Permit to scout for potential locations/job opportunities do I have to inform IRCC of it?
On the other hand if I were to find a job and move to Canada on the open work permit before receiving my COPR what happens with the PR application?
I am certain that I would have to report this to IRCC as it would be a change of my country of residence.
