Entering Canada from the US with a valid study permit but no TRV?

Hey guys.
My study permit expires on August 5. I need to go to the the US in June. I dont have TRV. My Temporary Resident Visa expired but now I dont have time to renew it.
Can I go to the US and re-enter to Canada with my study permit and passport but no TRV?
